Texas residents who would like to launch a vocational nursing career must first complete a state-approved licensed vocational nurse (LVN) educational program before seeking licensure.
In most states, an LVN is referred to as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), thought both titles indicate identical positions and qualifications. San Antonio LVN Programs' Curricula
Colleges, adult institutions and hospitals offering accredited vocational nursing programs have the flexibility to build their own curricula. However, all state-approved LVN San Antonio nursing schools are required by state law to minimally offer students the following:
- At least 1398 hours of learning
- At least 558 hours of classroom-based instruction
- At least 840 hours of supervised clinical work
