How To Highlight Interactables in Diablo 4

In Diablo 4, you'll rely on materials, Diablo IV gold, gems, and gear to improve your character. Managing your inventory and items is a huge part of the Diablo game loop, so you'll be doing it a lot during your trips to Sanctuary.

However, sometimes it can be difficult to actually find the item you're looking for on the ground due to the default display settings. Fortunately, you can make finding items easier by tweaking your settings. Below, we'll look at how to highlight items on the ground, and how to change the highlighting settings.

How to highlight items
Ombres, rare gear, gold and gems are scattered on the ground
The default keybindings to display item labels are Alt on the keyboard and L2 on the controller. By default, pressing this button will display the names of all objects on the ground, such as items and equipment, for 10 seconds. However, by toggling the "Item Label Display" setting, pushing it to the toggle (on/off), the item will always display its name when it is on the ground.

You can find this setting by navigating to:

project label display
Change the setting to Press Toggle (On/Off)

Unfortunately, you can't highlight every interactable object such as tree stumps, rocks, or quest objects such as letters or statues. The only way to highlight these non-item interactables is to hover the cursor over them.

You can also change the highlighting settings for some non-interactable things such as other players or NPCs. You can find this setting by navigating to:

Here you can toggle options to show highlights on other players, as well as change the color of highlights on players, NPCs, enemies, and objects. You can choose any color from the color picker, which makes this setting especially useful for colorblind players.

How To Get Abstruse Sigil in Diablo 4

As you complete dungeons in Diablo 4, you'll unlock legendary attributes, which can be used to upgrade your gear with new abilities. These aspects provide the basis for building upon as you progress through the game, but require some investment in materials and gold.

If you want to apply the power of the Legendary aspect to your rings and amulets, or if you want to upgrade your jewelry, you will need a material called an Esoteric Sigil. Below, we'll take a look at a few different ways to quickly gain Esoteric Marks.

How to get esoteric mark

Esoteric Marks can be obtained by salvaging legendary rings and amulets. This means you can earn esoteric sigils from almost anything in the game, since any activity you do has a chance to drop a legendary item. That said, we'll take a look at two of the best ways to target the farm's esoteric sigil below.

hell tide
In general, Helltide is one of the best ways to get legendary gear. During these events, certain areas of the map will be covered by Hellwave and more enemies will be summoned. These enemies drop anomalous cinders that you can use to open Torment Chests.

Each tortured chest contains a specific type of item, such as a ring or amulet. By specifically looking for these chests, you can collect some legendary rings or amulets for a short time during Helltide.

whispering tree
When Helltide is not active, your next best option is to complete the Whispering Tree objective. By completing designated objectives on the map, you can earn grim boons. When you have ten Grim Favors, you can return to the tree to choose from three different bonus treasures.

These reward caches contain random types of D4 items, but will always drop at least one item specified by the cache name. For example, the ring collection always has the ring as the main item.

This makes it easier to specifically target rings and amulets, as the Whispering Tree rewards have a good chance of being Legendary, especially if you get the larger cache of the collection (which has the orange name).

Diablo 4 Renown System Explained & All Rewards

By participating in the various side content of Diablo 4, players can earn Renown, which can then be traded to unlock a series of rewards.

However, some players may be a bit confused about how the Renown system works and which rewards they are entitled to once they collect enough.

Below we've outlined everything there is to know about the Renown system in Diablo 4 and the rewards you can earn.

How to Earn Renown in Diablo 4
Players can earn renown by completing various activities in Diablo 4, and use it to unlock new levels and earn rewards such as diablo 4 gold coins, skill points, paragon points, and increased Ombre capacity.

Here's each activity you can earn prestige from:

Discovered Areas – 5 Notable Areas
Lilith Altar – 10 Renown
Waypoints – 20 Renown
Side Quests - 20 Renown
Frontier Dungeon – 30 Renown
Stronghold – 100 Renown

Here's everything you need to know about earning Renown in Diablo 4:

By completing activities within each area, you will earn a separate amount of Standing. For example, completing a dungeon in Broken Peak will earn you Renown exclusive to Broken Peak.
After earning a certain amount of prestige, you will unlock a prestige level for that area. This will drain your currently accumulated Renown points, forcing you to collect them from scratch to unlock the next tier.
For example, the first tier costs 200 Renown and the second tier costs 500 Renown. In order to get both tiers, you need to collect 700 Renown, 200 Renown for the first tier, then 500 Renown for the second tier alone.
Some prestige will carry over between tiers. For example, if you have 180 Renown and complete a dungeon at 30 Renown, you will inherit the difference of 10.
Most of your Renown resets every season. The only exceptions are any Renown collected from Altars of Liss and discovered areas.
You can check how much Renown you have in a particular area by opening the map and looking at the upper left corner (see image below).

Renown rewards in Diablo 4 include the following:

extra experience points
the gold
Skill points
Increase potion capacity
Increase Obol capacity
Canonical points

In addition to one of the other rewards listed above, you are also guaranteed to receive gold and experience points for each prestige level. See below for your rewards based on Renown Level:

Prestige Cost Gold Coins/Experience Bonus Account Rewards
Level 1 200 extra experience points/3,000 gold coins +1 skill point
Level 2 500 Extra EXP/10,000 Gold +1 Potion Capacity
Level 3 800 Bonus XP/25,000 Gold +1 Skill Point
Level 4 1110 Extra EXP/60,000 Gold +80 Max Obol Capacity
Level 5 1500 Extra EXP/150,000 Coins +4 Paragon Points

Additionally, all 5 regions have the same Renown rewards and the cost to unlock them. So, when you get 200 Renown in Broken Peak, you'll get the same rewards as you would in Scorsglen.

Once you've gained the necessary Renown, you'll need to go to the "Regional Progression" screen to manually unlock rewards and the next tier. They are not automatically unlocked.

You can view the Prestige Rewards screen by opening the map and pressing one of the following buttons depending on your platform:
